TMI Inc. performs concrete work for residential, commercial and industrial applications. If you need a sidewalk or a driveway, we can do that. If you need piers and pilings, we can do that too.
Finishes
We apply all of our paint finishes in-house. We have a mechanical blaster and hand blaster to apply the proper cleaning and profile for painting. We can apply anything, from a red oxide primer to a three part finished paint system, consisting of a zinc primer, epoxy intermediate coat and urethane finish, depending on the job specification. We are close to four major galvanizing plants if your project requires galvanized steel.
Shop Assembly
Our shop will gladly fully assemble platforms with grating and handrails, stair stringers or trusses to help alleviate installation costs.
Crane Rental
We have a 30-ton crane and an operator with over 25 years of experience.

Whether it’s a new construction, remodeling / addition or even a repair job, TMI Contractors is here to help no matter what your needs may be.
Shipping
We have and will ship steel all over North America and overseas. Most of our shipping is done via flatbed trailer, through a local trucking company. We also run our own hot-shot truck and trailer for loads under 18,000 lbs.

Sandblasting
We have a mechanical sandblaster that can handle everything, from small parts to large beams. If the item to be blasted can't fit in the mechanical sandblaster, we have a hand sandblaster that we can use. The hand sandblaster is also portable, so if you can’t come to us, we can come to you.
Painting
We are currently expanding our paint facility to better serve our customers. If you need a special color using a three-part system, red oxide, or if you want to paint over galvanizing to add color, call us. We are here to serve all your painting needs. We can also do quick turnarounds.
Repair of GRACO Paint SprayersWe have trained and qualified repairman on site for timely repairs.
Fabrication
TMI Contractors, Inc. is a full service structural steel fabricator located in the Midwest. We fabricate steel structures, platforms, handrail, stairs, grating and ladders for industrial plant sites, commercial buildings, hospitals, hotels and universities all over the United States. In addition, we provide roof steel, circular platforms, cage ladders and spiral stairs for tank and vessel fabricators; we design and fabricate mudboats, generator houses, shaker pits and dog houses for the oil field industry; stainless steel platforms, ladders and handrails for the food industry; aluminum handrails, ladders and platforms for waste water plants.

Everything we fabricate is checked 100 percent from start to finish. Mill certifications are kept on file for each piece. All welders have been certified per the AWS code. Records of inspection are kept for each job, from hole layout to paint dft's. We know how much a fabrication error costs in the field and we take pride in producing a product that meets or exceeds specifications and fits.
Estimating and Budget Pricing
Our Estimating department will be happy to provide a hard bid on any structural project you might have. We also work with engineering firms, general contractors, owners and clients to provide budget pricing for a project they are considering or presenting.
Quick Turns
Since we detail, fabricate and paint in-house, we can help you meet those tight deadlines when you "need it yesterday." In addition, we fabricate all of our miscellaneous items such as grating and handrails to ensure that we meet your deadline.
We detail our fabrication jobs in-house, using the latest SDS2 modeling software. We offer detailing services for other fabricators, engineering firms and detailing firms. We can produce CNC files to assist in fabrication or .kss exports for use with Fabtrol production software.
